CO-EXTRUDED FILM
In co-extruded films, different resins are melted
separately, extruded through a multi-layer die resulting in
a multilayer film which for all practical purposes is a
single layer of film with multiple properties. Co-extrusion
is a one-step process resulting in a single structured film.
The advantage of a co-extruded film is that you may have as
many as nine distinct layers or different properties melted
into one film to form multiple properties in a single
structure to obtain certain barrier or strength properties.
